LA Classes
Students were given the name of a Stephen King novel and have to write the summary for the novel. Summaries can be found by doing an on-line search or looking at the actual book. Students were not expected to watch the movie or read the novel, only report on the summary.

LA classes have a comma sheet to complete.
LA 7A must browse through text and find specific examples of comma use and write them down on their sheet.
LA 7B has a two sided sheet to complete about commas; it should say on the front Unit 1 Myth Mechanics "comma".

Math Classes
Today we worked on a practice test for chapter 6, which will be homework if not completed.
The chapter 6 test will be Thursday, so students should be reviewing material and seeking extra help over the next three evenings.

Today we discussed reasonable fear and unreasonable fear. Tomorrow we will summarize My Maturity in Flames (a short story from the Fears and Phobias unit).

LA 7B
Students are to choose a person or a group and argue why they are not responsible for the Titanic sinking, and then place blame on another person or group saying why they are to blame. Students should be persuasive and use evidence to support their position.

LA Classes
It is Titanic week here at SIS. We will be interupting our Fears and Phobias unit for a brief time. LA class 7B have a question sheet to answer tonight about who is to blame for the sinking of the Titanic. LA class 7A will have no homework.
Math Classes
We are in chapter 6. I would like class 9A to go over section 6.1 and I would like class 9b to look over 6.2.
