Math 8C
*Today we learned about perfect squares and their square roots up to 144.
*We are also working on multiplying and dividing decimal numbers.

1) Journal entry, half page in length, about the students first week at S.I.S.
2) Shoe Box presentation. Students are to place five items from home in a shoe box that helps describe things they like to do. This is an easy way of introducing each other to the class.
3) Creative Writing story. Students are to write a one page story of a secret passage they discover (how did they find it, what happens when they go in, who do they see, ...)

Students from both math classes had their tests passed back today, some students need their test to come back signed.

LA Classes
Homework: Spelling and grammar quiz. The grammar section will be the 10 basic grammar rules in the students' scribblers. As a reward for checking the blog, these are the 10 spellings that will be on the quiz tomorrow: dramatic, channel, cafeteria, calorie, anxious, embarrass, strategy, accept, attractive, and halves.
