Test Thursday: Chapter 6.

LA Classes

Essays are past due. Should students not have them passed in, they will be added to the "no dance" list.

*Improved copy of essay due.
*Spelling and grammar test. See Tuesday's post for the words. The grammar is using quotations in dialogue and basic grammar rules.

Math Classes

Booklets need to be completed by Monday. If not, it will have to be success club until they are completed.

We are coming to the end of the chapter. It is great to see people taking their books home. We will have a quiz by Wednesday of next week.

Math Classes

Today was a good day, I feel many more are getting the work now. It is good to see students finally taking books home to go over their work.

Math Classes

Help! Many of the students do not know their material and are not taking their books home to go over the work we do in class. We are working on chapter 6.

LA Classes

*Moving spelling and grammar test to Monday because LA 7B has no class on Friday. Spellings are: yield, niece, belief, grief, briefly, zenith, medium, immediate, previous, receive, conceited, ceiling, disease, league, increase, entry, economy, continually, curious, succeed.

*Students were given their essays back today. They are to fix their mistakes and add their introductions and pass them back in by Friday.

Math Classes

We are working on our booklets from chapter 6. Students that don't understand the material can work from their books at home.

LA Classes

*Spelling test (Lesson 8) and quotations on Friday.
* Homework: Sheet Lesson 8 both sides
* Students must bring novels to class.

Today we worked on 187 and 188, 189. Students still need to review 6.1.

Today we worked on page 186, Like Terms. Students can be reviewing work in the chapter on a nightly basis.

The assignment is a one page minimum typed essay in size 12-14 font titled, "The Abuse of Common Household Products". Students need a proper title page (see agenda pg's 26&27) and attach their hand written notes. They must use at least three sources and note them.

*Test on the novel Last Chance Summer.
* LA 7 B had essays due yesterday in which many did not have complete.
