Math 8C

Mr. Ramsay, a student teacher, has taken over control of the class. He has started chapter 1 in the math book. Students that are having trouble should be reviewing the material at home.

LA Classes

Mr. Ramsay, a student teacher, is taking over the class for the next month. He started a novel study with the classes today, Last Chance Summer. For homework tonight students are to complete chapter one questions. Each student has their own book and the chapter was read in class today.

Math Classes

Homework: Two sided sheet on substitution and relations.

Test this Thursday afternoon on:
*plotting on coordinate planes
*graphing linear equations
*using substitution to solve expressions
*expressing relations in a variety of ways (ordered pairs, table of values, in equations, and using words).

LA Classes

Students have a quiz this Friday on the stories mentioned in yesterday's blog. However, I will leave out Antaeus as time is limited. Students should be reading over the stories for homework through the week.

LA Classes

We are currently working on a Working Together anthology (collection of short stories). The stories we have covered thus far are: The Phantom Dog Team, Four Men and a Box, From Behind the Red Line, Brother Leon, and Alfred the Great. The two remaining stories we will be working on will be The Friday that Everything Changed and Antaeus.

* We will have a quiz on these short stories this Friday.

Math Classes

Today we worked on substitution in expressions. For homework students are to complete the sheet they worked on in class today. Band students should have some left to complete.

* Test on relations will be this Thursday. Any student that needs to catch up should get extra help through the week.
